General Manager
I have been the General Manager at Pukekohe for over seven years now and I love it here. The club is financially robust and it has a programme of continual improvement. We have called it the "Hidden Jewel of Auckland" and it is quickly becoming a "must play" when anyone is in Auckland. In the past the summer fairways have been interesting but the spreading cooch grass is providing cover and the greens are becoming quick but more importantly true as we introduce new management practices and brown top grass to them. Over winter our drainage programme has made the course dry under foot all year around unless the river floods and, even then, the course is playable as soon as it goes down again.
Membership numbers are holding up which is an unusual thing in today's golf club environment so I highly recommend that you come and play here and, if moving to Auckland or starting golf, come and join. We will have a deal for you and you will be at a very friendly club with a great golf experience as well.
Cheers & happy golfing
Ian Litchfield

Club Management
The Pukekohe Golf Club is managed by the members through a Board of Directors who look after governance and a Golf Committee who manage the golf programme, rules and all other issues associated with the playing of golf.
The General Manager controls all day-to-day running of the golf club, with permanent and casual staff in the office and lounge. Catering and the ProShop are run under contract, but report to the General Manager. The golf course is maintained by the Course Superintendent who has four full time green keepers and two labourers.
Board of Management
Overall management of the golf club is the responsibility of the Board, which is made up of the President and four Board members, with the General Manager as an invited guest of the Board.
The Board is responsible for setting the club budgets, advising on the level of fees, authorizing major payments and investing spare funds from time to time. The Board also sets the plan for the future of the golf club, to grow it and help ensure it becomes an integral part of the community.
Golf Committee
The golf committee is made up of the men’s and women’s Captains and Vice Captains. Invited guests include the senior PGA ProShop Professional, the Course Superintendent, a Seniors representative, a 9 Hole golf representative and the General Manager.
This committee sets out the golf playing program and is concerned with the golf competitions within the club and the selection of club teams to represent the club in interclub golf matches.
It also manages all rules and playing disputes on the golf course and recommends any changes to the golf course layout to the Board of Directors.
